TAYSHAWN (TAY) MORGAN
Founder and President
Full Spectrum Birth Sister, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, Placenta Specialist
Hey hey, I'm Tay! A multifaceted mama of six. I have been the single mama, the scared mama, the exhausted mama, and the anxious mama. I am now a much more knowledgeable mama who has dedicated part of my life to helping educate other mamas and their families so that they can become a more knowledgeable mama too!

I was born and raised in Northeast D.C. but I currently live in Charles County Maryland. I support families in person residing in the DMV area and virtually everywhere else. I teach families about things like, but not limited to nutrition, babywearing, lactation, newborn care, and car seat safety.

My passion for children, reproductive health, childbirth, and everything wellness started at a young age. I used to watch the shows Birth Day and A Baby Story almost every single day on TLC obsessed with every little detail I saw.
I have always been an outspoken, natural-born nurturer, and alchemist. Advocating, and catering to everyone around me. My curiosity for women’s wellness and advocacy sparked after my birth trauma experience with my first child back in 2011 and with the help of my doula friend, who introduced me to the importance of support and advocacy in pregnancy, labor, and postpartum during my second child in 2015. Shortly after the birth of my second child, I realized that every woman should have the knowledge and support to experience their desired birth. With that in mind, I decided that I would train to become a professional birth and postpartum doula. I received my certification in 2016.

During my journey as a birth worker, I learned of all the trauma women experience due to the lack of education, advocacy, and incompetence of medical professionals, causing me to relive the events I myself experienced as a young mother. Since then, I have expanded my knowledge and support by training as a full-spectrum doula. Offering support to families who need preconception, childbirth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriage, and stillbirth support. I offer a holistic approach to families and empower the community through advocacy, resources, education, physical, and emotional support. As a birth sister, my goal is to act as a gatekeeper for all women, especially those of younger ages. I will help families gain confidence, and relearn traditions while amplifying their voices so that they can rediscover and reclaim their ancestral power through their own unique strengths.

I am passionate about providing a nonjudgmental approach to all full spectrum journeys. I am more than a doula. I am a sister, confidant, and friend. I will use my skills, knowledge, experiences, and ancestral support to be a trustworthy resource and a guide to you throughout your full-spectrum journey. I am still very much involved in the community outside of birth work providing children workshops, and pet care to folk in need.
