Who We Are

Girl Talk is a program designed to empower young girls through education and community engagement. Led by a mother and daughter duo, Girl Talk brings real, relatable conversations to life. Our program is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for girls, where we openly discuss and learn about important topics such as reproductive health, puberty, menstruation, mental health, body image, relationships, and self-care.

Our goal is to help young girls learn, grow, and feel supported. We encourage them to ask questions, share experiences, and learn from each other, as we provide the guidance and support needed for them to become strong, confident, and educated young women. Join us today and be a part of the Girl Talk community.

Founder + Mentor

Our program is led by Tay, a mama of five girls who had to learn a lot on her own while growing up without much guidance. As a result, she has made it her mission to provide her daughters and young girls like them with the safe space she never had and the guidance she lacked while growing up. Her goal is to offer them a secure environment to express themselves, learn how to navigate challenges, and develop into strong and confident young women. The program provides education and activities aimed at building self-esteem, developing healthy relationships, and exploring passions and interests, ensuring that they never feel alone.

Co-teacher + Big Sis

Amaya is a vibrant 14-year-old with a big heart, a wise soul, and a deep passion for helping girls her age feel seen, heard, and celebrated. As the oldest of five sisters, she naturally steps into a leadership role with empathy and grace, understanding firsthand the beauty and challenges of growing up girl.

Amaya brings a fresh, relatable perspective to Girl Talk. One that bridges the gap between education and real-life experience. Her presence reminds every participant you are not alone, and you are deeply supported by girls just like you!
